As a setting we have realised that unintentionally we do stereotype when talking to the children. On audit we have found that our boys and girls play well together with our open ended resources engaging in the same play. We also have a lot of male visitors and through reading we have realised that they are always sport activities or male stereotypical activities. We are going to as a setting invite male role models in to do the less stereotypical play for males engaging in role play/playing with dolls etc showing real life situations.
